So sad to see new construction go up ! Prices have sky rocketed making insurance money worth way more !
Man, that was one of the cheapest stores. I used to shop there.
Not too many noticed the palm trees glowing and burning from the inside out across the freeway while the trees right next to the building were fine. Plasma fire or geoengineered fire. Electomagnetic fire like lightning. 5000 to 6000 degrees instead of 1800 in a normal type fire. All the heavy winds associated with these fires are called solar winds or ionic winds. Not too much info about this new phenomena the past years because THEY have now weaponized it to cull the herd and displace and cause hell and utter chaos
Protect the exposures

I don't claim any expertise or experience in firefighting but as the flames were through the roof of the structure and it was fully involved couldn't a few aerials have really helped in pouring large volumes of water on this inferno? Especially since it seems to be self ventilating? Again no expert and don't know all the incident details I'm actually wondering if those apparatus would make a difference.
Where you been man we miss looking at your fires? :-)
These were, and still are, the most unique and iconic apparatus that only FDNY could ever build.
If at 5 minutes in the truck in the garage door, the owner wanted a low rider then shop did a great job to start it off !
9 minutes 40 seconds in it can't get much lower !
Peeeeeencas los tipos...Se les fue el Incendio....Se quemo todo lo que tenia que quemarse...Lo demás...Dar la hora...

Hi @firelensman, I am a student developing a short documentary on Torrance. Any chance we can chat and get permission to use some of your footage (with credit, of course)?
What the hell do Americans build with? Petrol?
The initial "framing stage" is wood. Other materials come in later.
@@firelensman Thanks for the reply. Seems very odd to us Europeans. Bricks don't burn!
Was there a camera malfunction? I fucking hate it when people do dramatic slow motion.

I looked this up after the fire in Lahaina , Hawaii. These winds were 1/3 of the winds that Hawaii faced in 2023. No imagine 100 of these fire bombs going off all at the same time.
now imagine, spell check.
Spellcheck man to the rescue . What would I do without you?
The water sprinklers did nothing
You could see the fire hose water evaporate as soon as the water hit the flames. They had to move the fire trucks' blocks away due to the intense heat. The fire was hot enough to peel the paint off the fire trucks.

When Hell reached LA ... I'm glad noone was inside there. Terrible fire.
What a total loss.
Kinda makes you want to be a firefighter, right?
lol, this is not a "typical" fire most Firefighters will come across, maybe once in their career, if so.
A non-typical fire for a non-typical job, right?
I hope they had good insurance! That place was toast from minute 1.
Rosa Fonseca, 90. I couldn't find any information about who she was that wasn't locked behind a paywall. Diego Alberto, 23. Tragically, he's the brother the man at 8:45 is calling for. He'd celebrated his 23rd birthday the Monday before the fire. He was roommates with his brother and his cousin. I searched up the name of Diego Alberto's brother and discovered that a California Highway Patrol officer of the same name was recently declared a hero for pulling an injured man from a burning vehicle in November of 2022. There's a very real possibility that this is a different person, but. The idea of this being the same guy almost a decade later is admittedly compelling. Either way, I hope he's doing alright, wherever he is.
"Papaer towels, Toilet paper, charcoal, piñatas"-Jesus, this is literally like the start of a bad joke. It's literally like something you'd see in a Family Guy sketch. Only it's real and so awful...
Was this LAFD or County fighting this fire ?
LAFD, Los Angeles (City) Fire Department...
That is the most incredible fire I have ever seen. Wow.
I have respect ✊ to all the firefighters 🧯 out there. 💕💕♥️♥️
You are an idiot if you buy an E-bike an E-bike isn't worth your home or your life.
Looks like a disaster movie scene
Just imagine if Gavin Newsom required all fire apparatus to be powered by L.I. batteries. That would be a huge mess of epic proportions for sure.
hmmmm, Fire Engines have caught fire with gasoline engines. Motor engines are hot and overheat. Battery powered engines are more dangerous? The only mess I see is the cost and reliability. When Fire Engines were pulled by running men, they challenged the horse. When Fire Engines were pulled by horse, they challenged the steam or gasoline engine. Now the challenge is the electric battery engine. Efficient ? reliable ? safe ? cost effective ? That is the question. 🚒🚑
They could still save it!!!
At 9 mins somthing you hear zak holman haha
I live near where the fire was
VERY BEAUTIFUL SORRY WE MISSED YOU
Nice video you sure know how to film keep them coming. Would you know why lafd is changing over their helmets to the traditional or new Yorker I always thought they would never change.
All LAFD safety attire has a effective life span. As is the norm, when a current supply of expendable safety gear (in this case helmets - of which we typically buy thousands), is exhausted, we open a highly competitive bidding process to replace them. In early 2022, amidst a new and necessary replacement cycle, the LAFD requested bids, and in response to such selected and procured the MSA Cairns Model 1044 as our agency's Structural Firefighting Helmet. That helmet is now initially issued to all new LAFD firefighters, and serves as the mandatory replacement for all currently in-service structural firefighting helmets, all of which have come to the end of their approved service life. The replacement process among our ~3500 uniformed employees has been active for some time, and is nearly complete. At that point in time, at least until our next procurement cycle, the MSA Cairns Model 1044 will be the single specified structural firefighting helmet issued to and expected to be used by all uniformed members of our agency. We hope this information helps. Respectfully Yours in Safety and Service, Brian Humphrey Firefighter/Specialist Public Service Officer Los Angeles Fire Department
@@lafd thank you. very though I appreciate the time you took to explain it. Stay safe.
That one's not going out until it runs out of fuel.
great video
We had one like that a few years ago just north of Seattle. Were you filming from I-5? Looked like you was standing in the freeway for some of that...
